TLDR: Agency and VA playbook for running a client’s Google Business Profile from Cursor or Claude via Ninja MCP — one token per login, dry-run first, same add-ons as the dashboard.

If you already live in Cursor or Claude and you manage marketing for a local business, Ninja MCP is how that agent talks to the client’s Ninja account. One token per Ninja login. The agent sees that business only. It cannot search other customers. Billing stays in the dashboard.

This is the agency and VA version of manage Google Business Profile with your agent.

How does client access work?

The client (or you, on their Professional account) generates a ninja_cus_ token in Dashboard → Account Settings → Ninja MCP. You paste it into your MCP client. Rotate the token if it leaks. Disable write access when you only need reads.

Do not put the token in a repo. Use user-level Cursor MCP settings.

Google must already be connected on that account. If it is not, the first job is the connect URL — not hours or reviews.

What should I never let the agent do?

  • Send a review reply or publish a post on dry-run. Confirm is required.
  • Bypass Power Reviews, Google AI-Posting, or Advanced Presence. Those are the same add-ons as the dashboard.
  • Invent Google insights, review text, or listing scores when the tool returns thin_result.
  • Reply to 1–2 star reviews without a human. That stays a person.
  • Touch billing, cards, or cancel.
Important

Writes default to a preview. If your agent “updated Saturday hours” without a confirm, it did not. Check the dry-run payload.

What does this look like for a restaurant client?

Monday: “What is wrong with my listings?” Then unreplied dinner reviews — draft only. Then this week’s post (patio, prix-fixe, holiday hours) — approve after the owner says yes. Holiday closures go through hours update, dry-run first.

Copy-paste prompts live on Your Agent.

What does this look like for an autobody or collision shop?

Confirm the primary category is Auto body shop or Collision repair shop, not a generic Auto repair if that is wrong. Services and keywords should match work the shop actually sells (insurance jobs, frame, paint). Draft a reply after a completed job. Do not invent “OEM certified” or warranty language the shop did not give you.

Can I run this for every client from one token?

No. The token is bound to one Ninja login. Multi-location under one login uses the dashboard business switcher; the customer MCP is that authenticated account. Do not share one token across unrelated businesses.
